Why Am I Doing This?
I started this blog to help educate the public about “Puppy Mills”. Unfortunately I had to learn about them the hard way. I started this because my puppy, Zoey, cannot speak for herself. She cannot tell the horrors of her life in Missouri at a Puppy Mill. So I intend to tell that story for her.
Hopefully someone will read this blog and and learn from it.

Hi Leslie,
First off, I need to tell you how touched I was by your story. It brought me to tears.. I also bought a puppy from Raising Rover and was mis-led about her parentage.
I am doing a lot of research on puppy mills and Raising Rover and would love to include your story–Is there a way you can send me this blog in a format that I can print everything including all the pictures?
Please let me know.
Again, thank you so much for sharing your story.
Hi Michelle,
Thank you for your comment! At this time I do not know of an organization that is transporting the animals back to the United States. However, if you are looking to adopt a new member to your family we would be more than happy to assist you in that process. There are so many great dogs in shelter right now waiting for a loving home. Please contact me at info (at) zoeystory.com or comment back. Best – Z*
can we in the US adopt Japan’s tsunami dogs? I would be happy to
Hi Rachel,
Yes, she is from a large-scale dog breeding facility in Wheatland, MO. Fortunately, they are no longer in business.
