Michael Vick Backlash

So I have been getting some backlash on my views on Michael Vick.  For example, he has done his time and deserves a second chance to make a living.  I guess my thoughts are that this was not a one time thing.  Michael Vick did this for over 6 years.  The news seems to minimize the details behind the story.  I still haven’t heard one newscaster say that Michael Vick used jumper cables and wet dogs down to electrocute them.  Instead all I hear are about are second chances.  Fine, give the guy a second chance.  But, does he need to be a role model as a quarterback for today’s youth.  I think the NFL and the Phillies should possibly think about this instead of can this guy help us win the super bowl?

Don’t back down. He is disgusting. Where is all this sympathy for the poor dogs? Did Vick not think well maybe I should show mercy to God’s children and not do this? NO HE DID NOT! So I say NO MERCY for him! While he watched or participated in those dogs being raped & killed did he once think this is wrong. NO HE DID NOT! Where was his mercy where was his heart where was his belief in GOD! Now he wants ours! I say F*ck HIM! Let him be raped & tortured & see how he likes it. Not just him every person who participates in dog fighting. If he wants to be a good role model than go away!!

Thanks for your comment. It’s amazing how easily we can all get distracted. I have watched and then re-watched his 60 minutes interview and am not impressed. I should do a check-up to see how he is “rehabilitating. I didn’t expect the football fans to take to him like they have though. I don’t care how great of an athlete anyone is if they are electrocuting animals.

Please don’t back down on your views. It’s almost a year later from when you wrote this and reading it all over again makes me want to vomit. I’m a member of PETA and I never back down when there is back lash and people become wishy-washy “Oh he deserves a second chance”. Please. I’m strong in my views. I’d still like to see him hang to this day.

I really do hope that this guy turns his life around and can become a positive role model. I would like to think that he feels remorse for his actions but we are talking about a six year history here. I plan on watching him on 60 minutes tonight. It should be interesting.

I think that people need to stop judging this man and let him live his life.
