Please note the following: AKC will accept the Coton into the miscellaneous class within the next few months. Currently cotons are only AKC-FSS (foundation stock)
Parent Club Approval for Miscellaneous Class Breeds
The Board reviewed the clubs that Staff has recommended to serve as the Parent Club for
Spanish Water Dog and the Coton de Tulear. This will be discussed further at the April meeting. http://www.akc.org/pdfs/about/board_minutes/0211.pdf
